    Trouble in Pittsburgh

As if the Steelers didn’t have enough to worry about, lacking a starting quarterback for the 2025-2026 season, Mike Tomlin really has his hands full now.

Sunday, March 9 2025, news broke that wide receiver DK Metcalf was traded from the Seattle Seahawks to the Pittsburgh Steelers.  While this may sound like the Steelers are heading in a positive direction, the amount of penalties the Steelers may acquire due to this trade are concerning.

DK Metcalf was the 5th highest penalized wide receiver in the NFL last season. He’s known for his trash talking and aggressive fights during games and even learned sign language to avoid being fined for foul language.

George Pickens is the 13th highest penalized wide receiver in the NFL for many similar reasons. Pairing up this wide receiver duo may cause more trouble than Pittsburgh is ready to handle.
